Climbing

Due to its geological nature and equipment, the Ardèche is a paradise for climbers of each shape.

Spread throughout the Ardèche, there are approximately 50 sites - using climbing blocks or real cliff faces - with the most different types of rock, from granite to limestone and phonolite.

More than 1.500 different routes are kitted out and maintained constantly. Many associations and clubs offer courses and organise guided tours.

No matter, whether you are beginner or pro: here everybody, who is fond of rock climbing, will find perfect conditions to practise it.
